Will switching pet dry food flavors often upset my pet's stomach?

  It's not recommend to switch your dog's food because it causes GI upset in the form of vomiting and diarrhea. Dogs do not need a variety in food, so it's fine to feed them the same brand and flavor of dog food throughout their life. I recommend feeding her a high quality dog food, such as Royal Canin or Hills Science diet.

  It's not the best to continually change foods, as that can make a dog picky and cause GI upset. Dogs do not require a variety in their food, and are honestly happy eating the same type of food for their entire life. I would simply pick one brand and stick with it. I highly recommend Royal Canin, Hill's Science diet, Purina ProPlan, or Iams.

  Sticking with one flavor of food is absolutely fine! As long as you are feeding Chloe a balanced commercial dog food, there is no need nutritional or medical need to change her diet regularly. The only times this may become necessary are if she becomes picky and likes a little variety. If this is the case, you may need to try different flavors of food, but as you mention, this requires a transition of 5-7 days of mixing the old and new diets. Personally, I feed my dogs the same food all the time and have not changed foods for them in several years. I hope this helps! :-)
