Who helps with vet care/spaying for a stray dog I can't catch/afford?

Search for animal rescues near you. You can just google or try adoptapet.com Some veterinary offices may know of rescues or may be able to offer humane euthanasia if he is sick. Keep looking for resources locally. Thanks for trying to help this guy

You should be able to borrow a Have a Heart trap or other safe trap to catch her. Then you can take her in the trap to get treated. Put food inside the trap and leave it near to where she is. When it’s dark and she’s hungry she should go inside and won’t be able to escape. This Is safe for both you and her. Once she’s treated they may spay her and release her back to your area. I would recommend contacting a mobile veterinarian and see if they can come out to your house and work on her there. If she is too difficult to handle, you may need a veterinarian and technicians to safely grab her using restraining techniques / drugs to be able to get her the treatment she needs. You can even feed her treats with sedatives in them to get her. I would see if the mobile veterinarian can come out to start with. I hope this helps! Unfortunately, it is against the terms of service for the site for an expert to have contact with a user outside of the site. It's awesome you want to have her spayed. Because she comes to you, you will be able to pick her up and place her in a carrier. I would take her to a local clinic, or low cost clinic in your area. You can do an internet search for low cost clinics in the area, or check with your local SPCA to see if they offer cheap spays (many do offer this option). The vet clinic can spay her for you, and can give her the vaccines and other treatments she needs. Congrats on taking in this cat, she will be lucky to have you :-)

I am sorry to hear about your frustrations with this kitty. I don't think you are likely to be able to trap her with a normal cat carrier if she is this shy as she will likely run as you approach it. I would see if there is a local rescue group or animal shelter in your area that has traps they use for this issue. How lovely of you to want to do this for Grumpy! I would call a local cat rescue or the SPCA. They can set up a cat trap to catch him to get these things done. You can also get a cat trap yourself, and trap him to get him into the vet.
