When is it okay to stop moistening my puppy's food and feed it dry?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Miniature Schnauzer | Male | unneutered | 2 months and 6 days old | 4.3 lbs

My mini Schnauzer is 9weeks old and I have been moistening his Eukanuba puppy food for the past few weeks. When is it ok to stop moistening the food and let him eat it dry?

If he can eat the dry food with no problems than it is ok to stop moistening the food. You could try a small amount and see if he is able to eat it. If he has any problems than you will need to continue to moisten it longer.
