How to stop my husky from biting and dragging another husky's neck?

Timber is a very handsome dog! He sounds full of energy and voice! Pulling is a very common problem with huskies unfortunately and can be difficult to manage. I would recommend you try a Gentle Leader if Halti - these are a head collar-like device that can be very useful in retraining pulling dogs. You can also consider working with a dog trainer one on one to gain better control of Timber and make him more responsive to commands and direction.

Oh Eska - she's doing what she was bred to do: pull! I am a fellow husky owner and can relate :-) I recommend teaching her to wear a "Gentle Leader" collar - these can work wonders with dogs who are leash pullers. The collar comes with a little instructional DVD, and it is definitely worth watching to make sure you have a good fit and train her to use it appropriately, as there is a little bit of technique to it. Huskies have amazing amounts of energy, and her love of pulling can be used to your advantage in getting her exercise. She can be taught to pull a sled, or a scooter, or a person on rollerblades or skis... if you can get her to work off some of that excessive energy, she may be less inclined to pull you on a leash! Of course, if you are going to encourage her to pull sometimes, you need to make it very clear to her when she is to pull and when she is not. Having had Siberians for over 40 years, I can attest to the fact that they can be pretty determined when it comes to doing what they want. That is not to say, however, that they are untrainable. I would suggest that you stop two of your interventions right away. All dogs live in the present. They can't guess the future, nor can they remember the past. So a time out is absolutely worthless as a training tool. Further, offering a toy when a dog is misbehaving is actually offering a reward! Also, you need to be very judicious with hand-feeding, or she may dome to expect to be fed that way, and you'll have to break her of the habit. Huskies can be very smart and stubborn. It sounds like Nebula may be testing the waters and also potentially showing some resource guarding or play aggression. The best thing you can do for her is to take her to obedience classes. It will help with her socialization as well as getting her to listen to you. You can also hire a trainer to help you work with her. Proper training is super important at this age so that bad behavior does not become a permanent habit as an adult. Also making sure she has plenty of exercise is important. Going for regular walks, dog parks, and even agility centers are great! Just make sure she stays as cool as possible with the summer heat!

Young dogs (and cats) often have to learn what is appropriate behavior during play. Necklace likely hasn't learned that her playing behavior is painful to you and others (or damaging to your clothing). Certainly attending puppy training classes with her is a good way to start to develop appropriate dog-human interactions. I also am a strong supporter of substitution training. When Necklace is playing appropriately you should be very positive, reward her good play with more playing, small treats, petting, attention, whatever is rewarding for her. When she displays inappropriate behavior I generally tell owners to say a firm "NO", and then immediately provide Necklace with something that IS appropriate to chew on. For instance, she bites at your pant leg, you say "NO" firmly but not aggressively, and then provide her with an alternate behavior like throwing a ball or giving her something appropriate to chew or bite on like a Kong toy or Nylabone. Saying "no" to a pet is only ever the first step in changing a behavior. First STOP the behavior then SUBSTITUTE the unwanted behavior for appropriate behavior.
