My dog keeps taking my pillows. What can I do to make him stop?

I suggest blocking off your bed so that Oli doesn't have access to it for a few weeks. At the same time have a nice, comfy bed for Oli in the same room. You may also want to offer Oli a Kong stuffed with peanut butter or spray cheese so that can distract him in his bed. As long as she is not ingesting the blanket than it shouldn't be a problem. It you don't want her to chew on it than you can teach her the "leave it" command and use it when she starts chewing on the blanket. There are a lot of different dog toys that you can purchase but if she has two favorite ones than you can continue to let her play with them. Just avoid toys that she can chew up so she doesn't ingest any of the pieces. You could get her a Kong and stuff it with a mixture of her dog food and peanut butter and then freeze it. This is typically associated with the nursing behavior seen in puppies. Adults dogs who do this behavior do it for comfort, as it mimics how puppies nurse from their mother. You can take away her access to blankets to stop her from doing this. If it isn't possible to take away her access, I would distract her immediately when she tries to do this behavior. Try to engage her play or give her a toy filled with a treat to move her attention away from the blanket. Encourage any behavior that is positive and doesn't involve sucking on blankets with praise, attention, and treats.

Kennel him if you are not able to watch him. This will protect your things and him from eating something that may cause an obstruction. Too many toys can lead to boredom. Give him 1-3 at a time and hide the rest. You can rotate these every day so he thinks he is getting something new. If this continues you can talk to your vet about medication.

There are a couple of approaches you can take to stop Bruno from eating his bed. One, you can supply him with more chew type toys. This will allow him to take out his chewing instincts safely, as well as preventing boredom. You can train him to not chew his bed. Every time Bruno starts doing this, you can get his attention by making a loud noise, and then giving him a chew toy to chew on instead. Praise him when he stops chewing on the bed and starts chewing on the toy so that he learns it's good for him to chew on the toy. There are chew deterrents you can spray on his bed, which you can get from a pet store. Finally, give him plenty of exercise so that when it's time to lie down on his bed, he will simply want to sleep.
