Spayed dog incision bump: Is it normal or should I see the vet?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Female | spayed | 1 year and 3 months old | 47 lbs

We recently got her spayed a few days ago & aren’t sure if her incision is healing the way it should be. We’ve done a little research & noticed a small bump thay may or may not be normal. I wanted to see online first before going straight back to the vet. Your opinion?

Although quite inflamed and with mild amount of dry discharge, the incision looks healing normally and does not look infected. A vet check up at this stage is not needed. Buster collar should be kept on at all times.
