What breed is my energetic Shih Tzu mix puppy? Health & temperament

Pet's info: Dog | Shihpoo | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 7 months old | 14 lbs

I have a ShihTzu mixed puppy, she’s currently 19mos, very energetic(hyperactive almost), and I wonder what mix is she. The dam is a ShihTzu mixed(was sold as pure ShihTzu). Attached photos below, her name is Aurora, born 26/3/2017, pure ShihTzu sire, Tzu mixed dam. She’s about 38cm tall and weighs around 6.5kg, and has double coat. I would really love to know roughly what type of mix is she so I could have some clue on what to be aware of, healthwise and her temperaments. Thanks a bunch!

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Honestly, I think that her mom is either purebred or almost is. I would expect your pup to either be a purebred Shih Tzu or being very close to it so in terms of behavior and expectations, I would be expecting what I would expect for a Shih Tzu. She is adorable! What breed are my 4-week-old pups? Shih Tzu and Dachshund mix?

These look more like a Shih Tzu than a dachshund. It’s awfully early to be able to tell for sure. They don’t look as long bodied as a dachshund and the thicker coat and rounder snout look more like a Shih Tzu. They are adorable regardless. You can always get a DNA test done. I just rescued a puppy. How big will he get and what breed is he?

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! He is adorable! He is a mixed breed dog but a predominant breed is hard to guess as he looks very well mixed. I would say that he has some characteristics of a Newfoundland and a Bernese mountain dog. I would say that he is likely to be a medium-sized breed dog to perhaps a bit larger. Good luck!

What breed is my new puppy? How can I identify its mixed heritage?

Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! Cooper is adorable! He is a mix breed so it is just a guess. He looks like he could be a shepherd or australian shepherd mix. I see Rat terrier in his face in the middle picture. We may never know. Just adopted a puppy! How old is he and what breed do you think he is?
