Why are my senior Poodle's eyes milky and draining, distressed?

Pet's info: Dog | Toy Poodle | Female | spayed | 13 years and 10 months old | 15 lbs
I have a 13yr. old Toy Poodle and her eyes are draining more than usual, she is more clingy, whiny, she freaks out more than before in a car ride and when i come home . She literally screeches , her eyes are milky. im just really worried and i have no insurance for her , i live on disability a fixed income so i cant afford to take her in to get checked unless there is a free coupon for an exam. thank you

Hi, and thanks for your question.
Although a picture of it would help to give you a more specific answer, that is likely to be due to a mild to moderate conjunctivitis, probably secondary to a allergy or an infection. Unfortunately there is not much you can effectively do back home for her, and a check up would be needed as appropriate treatment would include antibiotics and anti-inflammatory eye drops. Corneal injuries must be ruled out as well.
