My senior dog's old knee injury flared up. What can I do for pain?

My 8 year old chug has a history of a lax left knee joint Lady evening she jumped n just have temporarily aggregated it. She is up walking around n we are keeping her from jumping. Can I give her anything for discomfort or any other recommendations?

If Lucy was prescribed pain medications by her vet, you can certainly use those. You can also apply an ice pack wrapped in a thin towel if you can locate where she is most tender. Other than that, keep her calm and encourage her to rest. If she isn’t feeling better in a day or two, it’s best to have her checked out by a vet.
