My 9-month puppy won't eat dry food, but seems fine. Should I worry?

Sometimes puppies can have a slight decrease in appetite when they first come home since it is a big adjustment, however it sounds like you've had her a few days. Given her age and her breed I'd recommend seeing a veterinarian to make sure she doesn't have low blood sugar, parasites, or another medical problem affecting her appetite. If she also seems weak, lethargic or disoriented you should see an emergency veterinarian as soon as possible. She is adorable!

Hello. If he's bright and alert and feeling well drinking water no vomiting and no diarrhea I would not be too concerned at this time. But if he refuses to eat tomorrow or shows any signs of lethargy loss of activity vomiting diarrhea, he does need to be seen as soon as possible. Hopefully he'll feel better in a day or so. If he is gradually going off different foods including actual meat, there is probably something medically wrong with him, he is probably suffering from a gastrointestinal condition and needs to be seen by a vet. He will probably need a blood test or an ultrasound to find out what is wrong.

And in terms of the food -- he should be willing to eat wet food, if not dry food, at this age. So if he's not, I would highly recommend a check up with your vet to make sure everything looks ok. Oh no, that's not good. While moving into a new home is stressful for a puppy, I'm concerned that Sage isn't eating. Try tempting her to eat with some boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts. If she refuses to eat this, have her seen by a vet in the morning.
