Why is my 2-month puppy throwing up and not eating after a shot?

Oscar sounds like he is extremely sick and in a lot of pain if he's vomiting, not eating, and screaming. Without seeing him in person, I can't diagnose him definitively, but it could be due to a foreign body, a severe GI illness, eating something toxic or rotten, or parvovirus if he's not fully vaccinated. Whatever the cause, it's an emergency that he's behaving this way and he needs veterinary attention now in person to diagnose what is causing his symptoms so he can be treated. Please take Oscar into a vet now.

Unfortunately there isn't anything you can do at home for Sam at this point in time except withhold food and rest him. He should see a vet now, he sounds terribly sick. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. Hello. I am sorry tat Blizzard isn't feeling well. By his 6 week shot I assume you mean you had him to your vet to have his first set of vaccines. Vomiting can be a side effect/adverse reaction to vaccines. If he continues to vomit and isn't eating however this requires a visit to the vet. Usually with vaccines, if they vomit it is usually just once, so I would be worried about something else going on. I would suggest getting him seen. Your vet might want to test for parvo-virus and may want to do x-rays or bloodwork. Your vet may also just try some medications. Good luck with Blizzard.

Poor guy. It sounds like he may be experiencing a severe vaccin reaction. We treat these with a steroid shot and antihistamine shot. You will need to take him to your vet for treatment for this. B/c of the severity of his condition it is unlikely anything over the counter will help him recover. He also should be tested for parvovirus since he is so young and this is likely his first vaccination. You can try force feeding him some boiled plain chicken and rice or cottage cheese and 1-2 tsp of honey or karo syrup to keep his blood sugar up, until you can get him seen. Thank you for submitting your question regarding Muggim. I recommend that he sees a veterinarian today. That is a lot of vomiting in a puppy. The milk will not sit well on his stomach so I would stop offering that in the meantime. A vaccine reaction can cause vomiting, but it typically does not last so long. Was he given a deworming medication at the time of the vaccine? A high parasite burden can cause vomiting as they die off. Either way, he needs to be evaluated to determine the cause of his symptoms and how best to treat him. I hope this information helps!

This could be a number of things - parasites, a bacterial or viral GI infection, or even an intestinal blockage. At 2.5 months of age, Gus is especially at risk for parvovirus, a serious GI infection. We always worry about fluid loss in young puppies, so I would recommend getting him to a vet ASAP, to diagnose the cause of the vomiting, and start appropriate therapy.

It sounds as your puppy is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.
