Is my puppy vomiting white foam and constipated 5 days post-neuter?

Vomiting white foam could be serious or not serious, depending on how Buddy is acting. All it tells us is that something is making him nauseated enough to vomit. He could have eaten something that doesn't agree with his stomach, like new treats, or he got into the garbage. If he is acting pretty normal, and has energy, and does not seem sick or lethargic, you are ok to watch him and see if this resolves. If he is really depressed, mopey, doesn't act like himself or if the vomiting goes on for several days, there may be something very seriously wrong like a blockage or kidney failure or some other issue. That means he needs to see the vet for sure. Hope that helps!

Poor pup! If he's vomiting, not eating, and isn't able to keep anything down, this is very concerning - so I would recommend taking him back in to your veterinarian today to be seen. It's possible that this could be some type of complication related to his neuter surgery, or could be a totally separate problem. Your veterinarian can examine him and may recommend blood work, x-rays, or other testing if needed to help diagnose the problem and see what kind of treatment is needed.

I am sorry to hear that Rosie is not well. This is very uncommon to see a dog being so unwell 5 days after neutering. I would strongly recommend you to take Rosie back to your vet and ask to perform some investigation to make sure that she is ok. Vomiting could be a side-effect of general anaesthesia or morphine injections but in some cases vomiting in post-operative period may be due to kidney malfunction. Also, infection within the abdominal cavity causing vomiting and lethargy is possible. To be on a safe side, Rosie should have a blood test and abdominal scan done as soon as possible.

This does sound serious and it most likely is not related to PanPan’s recent vaccinations. He may have developed an infection, he could have intestinal parasites, or he may have eaten something that is causing an intestinal obstruction. I would recommend seeing a veterinarian as soon as possible.

I understand being concerning. I'm wondering if Hank is being given any pain medications. Certain pain medications can have side effects such as GI bleeding, and that could cause the color of his poop. If he's not on pain medication, he may be quite painful leading to the lethargy. I'd have him seen by a vet now to be safe.

This is definitely not normal and not likely to be due to the abdominal palpation, you need to take him back to the vet as soon as you can in order to get it treated, it could be a gastrointestinal infection or a foreign body ingestion, he will need an anti vomiting injection at the very least.

Some antibiotics can cause gastrointestinal upset. I would have expected that to resolve once the antibiotics were discontinued. Since he has vomited and continues to have a soft stool, you may need to have a fecal samples checked and obtain abdominal x-rays to rule out a foreign body.
