Hello, female puppies can be spayed when they are 12 weeks old. I always suggest spaying before her first heat cycle unless she has viginitis issues. In dogs, spaying before the first heat cycle reduce chances of mammary cancer by over 99% . If spayed after first or second eat cycle, there are still some great benefits. You should call a few veterinary office close to you for an estimate. Prices often vary depending on sIze and can vary very much between veterinary offices. Most veterinarians wait until at Least 6 months of age prior to neuter. As far as cost, all veterinary hospitals have their own pricing and it can vary based on location as well. I would encourage you to have him evaluated by a veterinarian soon to start vaccinations and deworming. The veterinarian you choose can give you an estimate for neutering at that time. Hi there! Great question and good for you trying to be prepared. Puppies should start their vaccine protocol as soon as they leave Mom, which is usually about 8 weeks old. They should be vaccinated every 4 weeks until 16 weeks of age, then a booster 1 year later. Spay is usually recommended at around 6 months of age but this can be variable based on the breed.
