Pet's info: Dog | Weimaraner | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 20 days old
Hi, I just adopted a Weimaraner puppy. She was abandoned at the vet because she looked like she had distemper virus. She doesn't, but the Veterinarian wasn't sure if it was an allergic reaction or an animal. She's much better now (happy and playful) but still her skin is delicate and recovering (pic), she is always bloated after a few bites (pic) and her anus looks irritated. Do you have any clue of what test should I order to find out what happened to her? Thank you very much.

OMG she is precious! Thanks for taking care of her! Even though I cannot tell you for sure without examining her, this could be puppy strangles which does not have a specific test for it but it is a diagnosis more based on appearance and response to therapy. Usually they will require antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications and in most cases they recover just fine. Good luck with her and good job helping an angel along the way!
