My puppy is still sick and won't eat after vet visit, what's wrong?

  Poor Hercules! If he's been home for a day and a half now and is not doing any better, I would recommend taking him in for a recheck. It sounds like he may need some additional diagnostic testing to help determine what's wrong. I would likely suggest starting with general blood work, a parvo test, and an abdominal ultrasound if these things have not been done yet.

  I don't understand how you went to the vet and were sent home with no help. Is that because you declined a work-up or because the vet was really no help? If the vet was really no help then you should take Zeus to a different vet. This is serious and he needs to have a work-up so he can get the appropriate treatment. Vomiting and lethargy are not specific symptoms for any one illness or disease process. Testing is needed to find out what the problem is. If he is still sick he needs to go back to the vet. I would be concerned about a gastrointestinal obstruction which is not going to correct without treatment.

  Poor Deisel! This could mean a variety of things. Certainly anorexia tends to occur when there is an issue of some sort. It tends to be a very non-specific sign that can occur with several conditions. His issues could be due perhaps eating something outside yesterday that did not sit well and he is having some gastrointestinal upset. However, other possibilities such as ingestion of a toxic substance or foreign body material may be warranted if he does not improve.
  
  You can consider having your veterinarian recheck him if there is no improvement and other diagnostics such as abdominal radiographs or abdominal ultrasound as well as infectious disease testing (such as parvovirus) may be recommended for further assessment of his condition. Maintain fresh water at all times for now to try to keep him hydrated. You may try offer him a bland diet composed of easily digestible food items such as boiled chicken, rice, turkey, ham and lean ground beef. If no improvement on his own I strongly recommend prompt reevaluation. Good luck with Deisel!
