My puppy is sick, not eating, weak, can't walk. Is it distemper?

I am sorry Bagheera is so sick. It is hard to tell by your question exactly what is going on with Bagheera. it sounds like she is not eating or moving all that well. I recommend taking her to a vet to determine why she is so sick. In young dogs parvo virus, parasites, low blood sugar and infection are the most common reason for illness. However all of these need supportive care and aggressive care with a vet. I hope that helps

Poor Pookie! It definitely sounds like something is wrong. These symptoms could certainly be caused by distemper, but could also be due to many other illnesses, so it's not possible to say what's wrong without being able to examine her and run some tests. I would recommend taking her to the vet for an exam. He/she can do blood work or other testing if needed to help diagnose the problem and get her started on appropriate treatment depending on what is found.

The clinical signs you describe are concerning when they occur in a puppy as they can be seen with serious gastrointestinal infections such as Parvovirus. Other possibilities include intestinal worms and dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. The sooner these conditions are treated the better the outcome tends to be. For this reason, I recommend that you have Kagome evaluated by your veterinarian to check for these possibilities and to start therapy based on findings. Hi there and thank you for posting your question! She may just have an upper respiratory infection starting. Puppies are quite prone to getting sick with a developing immune system. If you are concerned about the sneezing, I would have your veterinarian examine her to give you peace of mind. With distemper, sneezing can certainly occur. Puppies with distemper also go downhill fast and begin developing multiple other symptoms such as lethargy, inappetance, seizures / neurological symptoms, fever, etc. If these symptoms begin showing, I would certainly be worried about a viral infection like distemper. She might have a condition called "Parvovirus" which is a very serious virus that affects puppies, and is more likely if Joplin is unvaccinated. The other possible causes in a puppy include an obstruction in her gut (a blockage from a foreign object (ex. ball) that she ate, or an intussusception (the intestines telescoping in on each other). Also, depending on her age, pyometra is possible along with many other conditions. With what you are describing, I am very concerned that she could die without aggressive care. I strongly recommend you get Joplin to a vet right away, and if your vet is closed go to your closest emergency clinic. They will recommend a test of her poop, as well as possible bloodwork and x-rays, and will likely want to keep her in hospital on IV fluids and medications. Hello. I am so sorry that your puppy is so sick. The medications she is receiving are fine, but really need to be administered in a hospital situation, But I can understand the constraints & difficulties you have with veterinary care in your country. Lousie may have parvo or distemper, diseases that are difficult to treat even under the best circumstances. I would at least try to keep her confined so that she only has access to clean water. You can try giving her chicken or beef broths or stocks, too. All we can do with these very young patients is to hospitalize & administer the proper treatments. I am sorry to hear that Mackle is so sick. Keeping her hydrated is important. Is she won’t drink then she may need to be hospitalized in IV fluids. However, if she is drinking water well then I usually recommend that my owners take their pets into the bathroom when they shower to help loosen the mucus. There are appetite stimulates that you can ask your veterinarian for such as Entyce or Mirtazipine. Distemper is a virus and must complete its course. As long as it does not cause neurological disorders then most dogs will recover. If she begins seizures then the prognosis is very poor. Best of luck and I hope she improves soon.
