When is it safe for my puppy to go out after Bordetella & Lepto?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 4 months and 11 days old | 30 lbs

We decided to give Bentley the Bordetella shot in addition to his Lepto booster. Is it still 10 days before he can go out? or longer now?

It usually takes 10-14 days before a reasonable level of protection is established. I would wait 2 weeks before I took him around dogs with an unknown vaccine history. He should be fine around dogs that have been properly vaccinated.
