My puppy's paws have dry yellowish skin. Is it an infection?

It looks like Roscoe likely has a skin infection in his inguinal area as well as on his foot. The licking may be caused initially from allergies, but it sure looks like it had advanced into an infection by what I see in the picture. I would highly encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. In the meantime bathing in an antimicrobial shampoo such as chlorhexidine or salicylic acid is appropriate. These can be found in the human shampoo aisle in the dandruff area. Hyperkeratosis only effects the pads of the paws, not the fur. Yellow fur can occur due to contact with dark coloring staining substances like berries, mud...etc. Yellow fur can also be a sign of skin disease. Look closely at Storm's skin. It should be pale white and smooth. If the skin is flakey, red or has scabs, there is likely an infection and he should be examined by the veterinarian. If they look like little pimples with white pus in them, this is usually a sign of a bacterial skin infection called pyoderma - this can occur on its own, or as a result of an underlying problem such as allergies or skin mites (mange). If they don't seem to be bothering her, you can try soaking the affected paws in warm water with epsom salts for 5 minutes twice a day - often, this will help to resolve a mild infection in this area. If this doesn't help, or if the bumps seem to be spreading or if they become itchy or painful, then I would recommend having G examined by a vet - he/she can prescribe antibiotics to treat the skin infection, and can also do some simple tests to try and determine if there is any underlying problem causing it.

The pictures are difficult to see, but it appears that Cookie may have an infection on her skin. It may be caused by bacteria and could be secondary to scratching, fleas, or an allergy. I would get her on a good flea preventive if she's not on one already, but I think she may need to see a veterinarian as these infections sometimes need antibiotics to clear up.

Unfortunately your photo is a bit blurry and I cannot see the yellow/orange balls you are mentioning. It is possible that your dog has small fluid filled cysts in the skin here, or what we call a pustule which is like a white-head pimple in appearance and can look yellow due to pus under the skin. I would recommend a vet exam to be on the safe side as if an infection is present he may need antibiotic treatment.

The area on the side of his face looks like it has a bacterial infection causing the raised bumps. Your puppy should see your veterinarian to determine if this is the case. They may also want to do a skin scraping to look for any skin mites that may have started the problem. It looks like your pup will need prescription antibiotics to resolve this problem.
