Why is my 1-month-old puppy not walking, lifting head, or shaking?

My dog is 1 month old..but he won't raise his head ...and he don't have the capability of walking...when he start walking he got shivering......but he eats food....

I'm sorry to hear that your pup isn't doing well. I recommend taking him to an emergency clinic right away for evaluation. His blood sugar could be low, he could have a liver issue that is allowing toxins to build up in his system, he could have a congenital issue with his digestive tract, or something else entirely. His vet will likely do an exam, draw a bit of blood, and maybe take x-rays. I hope he's feeling better soon!

I am sorry to hear the puppy is not responding well a day after birth. It is hard to say exactly what the cause is for this sight unseen, but infectious or congenital causes could be at play.

Keep the puppy warm and try and position it so he can drink from mom. If he can't and is too weak, you can buy puppy formula at your local pet supplies store and give it small amount of warmed formula every 30 mins until he perks up.

If he is still acting so lethargic, I would recommend putting karo syrup (or maple syrup or honey) on his gums and he will need to see an emergency veterinarian. If he is back to normal now, monitor him closely and apply the syrup if you ever notice these signs in him again. Provide kibble for him at all times so that he never goes long between meals. Of course, something else could be wrong that your veterinarian could determine based in his exam. I hope this information helps!

Puppies can experience low blood sugar which will make them weak and wobbly. If he felt better after eating, then this could be the case. Young dogs, especially small breed dogs can have dangerously low blood glucose levels. If you have karo syrup the dab some on his tongue and get him to an emergency clinic as soon as possible. So, potential serious concerns would be 1. poisoning (ie antifreeze, pot, chemicals, rotten carcasses, etc.) 2. seizures (dogs get epilepsy and it commonly presents in puppies 3. metabolic issue like a liver shunt can cause neurologic symptoms 4. trauma to the brain like being hit by a car. Any neurologic symptoms are very serious and I would take him to an emergency veterinarian for a full workup.

All these signs are very concerning and point to a possible viral infection or metabolic disease. You need to take your dog to a veterinarian or PetER right away as he may be having a serious infection that needs to be tended to. Distemper comes to mind, a liver shunt and/or meningitis.
