What to do if my puppy isn't eating, sleeping, and is aggressive?

I think if she is sleepy a lot and that is abnormal and it has been 2 days that she should see a Veterinarian for a physical exam. Causes of not eating are:intestinal parasites, foreign body ingestion, viral infections, toxin ingestion or other more regional diseases. I wouldn't want her to go much longer without eating. Hello and welcome to Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. It sounds like Joplin is very very sick. She might have a condition called "Parvovirus" which is a very serious virus that affects puppies, and is more likely if Joplin is unvaccinated. The other possible causes in a puppy include an obstruction in her gut (a blockage from a foreign object (ex. ball) that she ate, or an intussusception (the intestines telescoping in on each other). Also, depending on her age, pyometra is possible along with many other conditions. With what you are describing, I am very concerned that she could die without aggressive care. I strongly recommend you get Joplin to a vet right away, and if your vet is closed go to your closest emergency clinic. They will recommend a test of her poop, as well as possible bloodwork and x-rays, and will likely want to keep her in hospital on IV fluids and medications. Any dog that all of a sudden acts aggressive it is usually due to some type of pain in the body. If he is not eating he may have an intestinal obstruction and that is painful. I suggest you get him to a vet for an exam.

If she is not eating, it will be easy for her to become dehydrated as she likely will not be stimulated to drink as much. If she is experiencing any vomiting or diarrhea this could be the cause of her inappetance. If not, see if she is coughing, sneezing or has any eye or nose discharge. These are all signs of illness in a dog. In the meantime, encourage her to eat as best you can. I hope this information helps!

Causes of decreased appetite and diarrhea in a puppy is: intestinal parasites, viral and bacterial infection, food allergy/intolerance, ate something gross, toxin ingestion. Koffee is very young and at 4 weeks of age it is a critical time when sick. Puppies can deteriorate quickly due to dehydration and low blood sugar. Since he is likely unvaccinated and not dewormed, parvo virus and intestinal parasites are high on the list. I recommend taking Koffee to the Vet today. I am worried about a respiratory infection / possible pneumonia. This needs to be addressed sooner rather than later so that antibiotic therapy can begin right away. Vomiting, diarrhea and lethargy are quite concerning in any dog, especially puppies because of the diseases they can get such as parvovirus. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment. They would be able to check for this disease as well as checking for other possibilities such as intestinal worms or other infections. The sooner these diseases are diagnosed the better the outcome tends to be. At the very least, Gus can be started on anti-nausea and anti-diarrhea medications and his hydration status can be checked.
