If he keeps it down, gradually increase the amount fed. Feed bland until there is no vomiting for 48 hours then transition slowly to his regular diet. If the vomiting persists or if Lightning develops lethargy, diarrhea, loss of appetite or abdominal pain, then you'll need to have him physically examined by your veterinarian.

Causes of vomiting in a puppy can include dietary intolerance or indiscretion, food allergy, intestinal parasites, GI blockage, gastroenteritis, bacterial or viral infection (including parvo virus if not completely vaccinated), among a few others. If the vomiting lasts longer than 12-24 hours, or if Prince develops other symptoms, such as diarrhea, lethargy, abdominal pain, etc he should see a vet as soon as possible. I would only offer small meals of Prince's normal puppy food, or small pieces of boiled chicken breast in this period. If he isn't interested in food, it may be a sign that he is very nauseous and he should get checked out by a vet. I hope he starts feeling better soon!

The main thing is to prevent this from happening in the future since he may start consuming the used products. This is known as dietary indiscretion (eating things he's not supposed to) which can cause vomiting/diarrhea, nausea, etc and even a foreign body if enough is consumed and cannot be passed or vomited. You'll want to isolate Alex and keep him away from any other pets. Be sure t offer plenty of fresh drinking water and offer a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice. Be sure to give your doctor call. If you have a close relationship with the office, you may be able to drop off a stool sample. They'll check for any intestinal parasites and bacterial overgrowth.

Poor Blanco! Puppies often eat things they aren't supposed to, including wood, and sometimes it passes on it's own. It's good that he is having normal bowel movements, and has no signs of blood in his poor or mouth. It could be that his stomach is still upset from eating the wood, or there could still be pieces of wood in his GI system. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. Continue to monitor his poop for signs of wood, and monitor his overall behavior. If he refuses to eat the bland diet, vomits the bland diet, becomes very lethargic, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or has blood in his stool, he will need to see a vet right away.

I recommend that you have Layka evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. You can offer a bland diet which may help. This diet could be composed of rice, boiled chicken, ham, turkey, lean hamburgers or low fat cottage cheese. If he is acting normal then you can withhold food for 12 hours and then offer him a small amount of a bland diet, like boiled chicken and white rice, and see how he does with that. You could also add a probiotic to his food. If the diarrhea continues, he starts vomiting, and/or becomes lethargic then he needs to be examined by a vet for treatment. He could have an infection, parasite, colitis, HGE, etc. and your vet can run lab-work to help diagnose and treat. Hope he feels better soon!
