My puppy humps, barks, growls, bites during training. Is it dominance?

What you are describing may be normal puppy behavior for Bear because some puppies respond very poorly to dominance type of behavioral training. However, I would be concerned with the behaviors that you are describing. I would recommend contacting your veterinarian or the foster organization for a recommendation on a trainer to work with to have someone else observe Bear's behavior to help you decide where to go from here. The longer this behavior continues, the more serious it will be become, so this needs to be dealt with immediately. It's not uncommon that puppies don't lick. Puppies are however typically mouthy and bite (in playfulness) a lot. One thing that helps to train puppies not to bite is to imitate another puppy. As soon as Teddy puts his mouth on you, make a high pitched yelp sound and then completely ignore Teddy. Pay attention to him as soon as he calms down. If you are consistent, Teddy will quickly learn that he will not get attention if he bites. Licking behavior typically evolves as puppies get older. Start practicing: sit, stay, come, etc. He should have plenty of exercise: doggy daycare, walks, parks, one on one play. Keep a leash on him and use a gentle leader for the muzzle. When he start to hump, gently use the leash/gentle leader to make him stop as soon as he starts. Make him sit, give him a treat and play with him. Do not grab him or touch him where he can bite you. Humping is not always sexual in nature, but I would neuter him due this behavior and the aggression he is showing. It's good that Teddy loves attention and wants to be with you. With more training he can be taught not to jump up and lick. If you ignore him and don't talk to him at first when you get home and let him into the yard first thing or take him for a short walk to redirect his energy this behavior will improve. Dogs are often encouraged to act up by the owners when they come home by them making a big deal of their arrival and the dog then responds. After he is calm then I would pet him, praise him and give a treat for calm behavior. This will take time to improve so be patient.
