My puppy has diarrhea. Is vanilla ice cream safe to give him?

The ice cream could be the cause of the diarrhea. I can give you a home remedy for him to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. Intestinal worms are a common cause of diarrhea in puppies, so that could be causing it in Rocky. Give him a deworming treatment, and another two weeks after the first one to kill all the worms. He should be dewormed monthly until he is six months of age, and then should be dewormed every three months thereafter. The fruit could also be causing his diarrhea, as certain fruits can cause GI upset.
