My puppy is constipated, has red eyes and has been vomiting during the night, what do i do??

Not sure if the red eyes may be related to the constipation and vomiting, but these signs could be compatible with an inflammation infection of the gastrointestinal system and surrounding organs (like pancreas and liver). I suggest you get a second opinion from a different vet. I’d be a bit worried about her having distemper or some type of GI obstruction. Those would be the first two rule outs. Has she had x-rays? She looks to be in terrible shape. I think a second opinion is needed as soon as possible.

Hi there and thank you for your post! Based on your description, the red eyes could be due to allergies, an eye infection or anxiety. I would recommend trying naturvet Quiet Moments calming chews with melatonin which you can find online or at your local Petco. The eyes may resolve on their own if this is an allergy, but if they continue to be red or worsen then I would recommend having a veterinarian take a look at him so that the most appropriate Diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. Bred sounds very bad off, and you cannot treat this at home. He has to see a vet now. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website.

From these pictures, Milos eyes seem normal. However, if you are concerned you can have your veterinarian perform an ophthalmic exam to be sure there is no problem. With regard to the diarrhea, this could be due to a bacterial, parasitic or fungal infection or it could mean that Milo ate something he should not have eaten. You can try putting Milo on a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice for a few days. However, if the diarrhea does not resolve, you will need to have him examined by your veterinarian.

My dog threw up blood, isn't eating, has red eyes. What do I do?

As a general approach, in case the cause is dietary related, I would suggest to withhold food for the next 8-12 hours and then start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days. I would definitively recommend a veterinary check up if the signs persist or you notice diarrhoea, more vomiting, lethargy or inappetence.
