Why does my 7-week-old puppy have bloody poop after treatment?

This sounds like she may have intestinal worms. I recommend using a puppy deworming treatment dosed carefully for her weight and repeated as per directions. A probiotic is also recommended to promote recovery. If she develops a fever or loss of appetite she must be seen by your vet

I would be concerned with Parvovirus which is highly contagious and often fatal if not properly treated. Given the duration of thee symptoms, however, it seems less likely. I would want to ensure, once well, they get at least 3 DAP vaccines 3-4 weeks apart, plus rabies. Sometimes I will see blood in diarrhea from hemorrhoids from straining against soft stool. In this case, treatment for the underlying cause of the diarrhea will be needed. This could include some Metronidazole, a probiotic, and further deworming. In these cases it is usually a small amount of blood whereas with Parvo it is a large amount of very bloody, foul smelling stool.

If you are seeing continuing blood, this likely means Togi is not completely normal yet. Dogs should not have blood in their stool. Togi should be examined by the veterinarian. Ask about parasite testing (both worms and protozoal). I'm not sure what medication he had but pets are often given and antibiotic and a probiotic as well as a bland diet if bacteria is suspected. Sometimes a special diet is used (a hydrolyzed protein) if a food allergy is suspected but typically food allergy does not cause bleeding in the gut. This is usually dietary related and if no other signs are present at this stage, the problem could be managed by start feeding with a bland diet based on boiled chicken and rice in small portion every 6 hours for the following 48hours. Then gradually reintroduce the normal diet over 5 days. I would definitively recommend a veterinary check up if the signs persist or you notice diarrhoea, vomiting, lethargy or inappetence. The most common reason that we will see soft stool (with or without blood or mucous in it) in a puppy is some type of intestinal parasite. You didn't mention how old Ivy is or if your vet has checked a stool sample, but puppies can commonly have intestinal parasites. Some are microscopic, so the only way to know that they have them is for your vet to look under the microscope. And even if a puppy has been dewormed, it is common for them to have other intestinal parasites since there are no many different types of parasites and they each require a specific type of deworming. So, my first recommendation is to have your veterinarian do a fecal check on Ivy, then decide on an other treatment. Bloody diarrhea can be caused by intestinal parasites, a parvo virus infection, severe intestinal infection, an injury in the colon or rectum, or have an idiopathic reason (ie , we can't find a cause). You will need to take your dog back to the vet for a recheck as he likely will need antibiotic treatment to prevent him from getting sepsis. The medicine against parasites takes at least two to three days to work before the bleeding stops so if your dog only started receiving it yesterday or today I suggest you wait another day before going back to the vet as it may kick in before then.

It sounds as Sugar is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an antibiotic course and a special food for a few days in order to get better.
