My 3-month puppy's stomach is big & she hasn't peed. Is it serious?

My dog stomach was too big.she was a small dog aged 3 months she doesn't pee the last two days what is the reason

Gastrointestinal worms, gastrointestinal inflammation (that can cause signs like diarrhoea) are by far the most common diseases that can cause this presentation.
A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is immediately essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately. Antibiotics and possibly further investigations (like abdominal imaging as ultrasound or radiographs) may be needed.

Very commonly worm infestation (gastrointestinal parasites) can affect puppies and cause the signs you are describing. My 3-month-old puppy has a pot belly and is thin. What to do?

Hi, Puppies can have what we call a "pot belly". In many puppies the pot belly appearance noticeable after a meal but it will decrease in size after a couple of hours. In cases where the pot belly persist in puppies and does not decrease in size we consider the most common cause is heavy worm infestation which will require to have your puppy to have a series of de-worming treatment at 2 weeks intervals at least twice (with heavy infestation I will recommend more than twice). Other cause of distended abdomen is fluid built up (ascites) which warrant a veterinary investigation. I would suggest to start immediately with treatment using a de-wormer recommended by your vet. Why is my 3-month-old puppy still bloated after worm medicine?

HI, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Puppies tend to have a more bloated belly. Intestinal parasites are usually the main cause of this. Sometimes the intestines are more gassy in puppies too. I would give the dewormer some more time. If there is no improvement by a week i would have her examined and bring a stool sample with you. Sometimes changing puppy food can help as well. She is due for vaccinations so a Vet exam should be happening soon anyway. Good luck!

Why is my 3-month puppy bloated, lethargic, and whines when touched?

If she hasn't been wormed then it is likely due to intestinal worm infestation, tomorrow at the vet's they will deworm her and probably vaccinate her as well, the deworming should resolve those symptoms.

My 3-week-old puppy has a bloated belly but good energy. What's wrong?

If her breathing is normal and gums are normal pink, then there is a good chance this is just a worm overload. Sometimes it takes 2 treatments done 2 weeks apart to get rid of worms in young puppies. Ascites would almost always cause a pet to be lethargic and act ill. As long as her energy is good and everything else is fine, it is ok to monitor her for now and have your vet check her for parasites when they get back out of town. If she seems ill at any point, then its best to take her to another local vet for a check up. Best of luck with your young puppy Lady Jane moving forward. Take care. : )

Why is my 5-week-old puppy's stomach bloated, yet she's active?

I would recommend a vet check to determine if there are nay underlying medical causes but the fact she eats well is a good sign. Monitor for regular stools and no pain or vomiting and ensure she is dewormed regularly with an appropriate puppy wormer (every 2-4 weeks depending on the product). Keep her isolated from other dogs (especially dog parks etc) until she is fully up to date with her vaccines
