What causes my puppy's belly blisters and round wound on her neck?

Your puppy may have puppy impetigo which is a bacterial skin infection. Have your vet take a look at her to diagnose and treat. She may need an antibacterial shampoo and/or an oral antibiotic to treat.

I recommend taking him to a vet for oral antibiotics. You can try bathing him in puppy shampoo and make sure he is fully dry, but oral antibiotics are needed to cure the pustules. Skin lesions like these can be caused by bacterial, parasitic or fungal infection, dietary or environmental allergies or sensitivities, immune system disorders, or a combination of the above. Sometimes puppies like Palmer can get a type of “puppy acne” along the belly as well. If the lesions do not start to go away in the next week, or if they start getting worse, I recommend making an appointment to have Palmer seen by your veterinarian to help determine the cause of the bumps you’ve noticed and to make sure they are treated appropriately. The vet will likely want to look at a sample from the area under the microscope to determine if there is an infection and to figure out what medication is appropriate for treatment.

It is hard to say exactly what the cause of Lulu's skin lesions may be without an exam, but some possibilities may include a fungal infection, mites (scabies or demodex) a food or environmental allergy, or evidence of an underlying endocrine disorder such as Cushing's disease or a thyroid problem. Your veterinarian can diagnose these potential conditions with a fungal culture, skin scraping, and some blood work. I would recommend Lulu visit her vet soon to have the possibilities above ruled out so she can get appropriately treated.

It may be a little skin infection. It is common and easily can happen. They can also make it worse themselves. Oh dear, poor Tickles! My first concern in a young puppy with blister-like lesions and a swelling in the neck (which I assume is a lymph node) is puppy strangles. If there is no lymph node enlargement, other issues such as a skin infection, mange or ringworm would be more suspicious. Unfortunately, there isn't anything that you can do at home for any of these conditions aside from assuring that Tickles continues to eat and drink normally. Take him to the vet as soon as you are safely able to do so. I hope that he feels better soon and that you stay safe!
