Is propylene glycol bad for dogs and should I avoide dog food with it?

Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach!

It is approved in the US by the FDA to be in dog food. Not all dog foods contain it. Some people think it is not good and avoid dog foods with it in it. Cats should not eat food containing propylene glycol. Personally I would choose foods that do not contain it.
