Why is my 4-week-old Pomeranian puppy throwing up and not eating?

I'm sorry to hear that Melow isn't eating well for you. It is normal for a puppy not to eat a lot the first day in a new home. It can be a stressful transition. However, it is abnormal for the lack of appetite to last several days. The vomiting is not normal either. Melow need to see a veterinarian. He is so young, I worry about him becoming dehydrated. Even if he is drinking some, it is likely less than if he was eating normally. He may require fecal testing and deworming or more aggressive care depending on his exam findings. Do your best to encourage him to eat and drink. You can add warm water to his dry kibble. Some dogs like canned food warmed up a bit as well. Hello. I am sorry to hear that Skyler isn't feeling well. I would recommend having her checked out for worms (fecal sample), and also possible radiographs. Also, I would discuss with your vet about what food to feed Skyler. YOu want to get her on a good quality puppy food. It could be that you are feeding her something that isn't agreeing with her stomach. If she vomits up everything she eats than you need to get x-rays right away as she could have an obstruction, however I think this is unlikely based on what you are describing, especially if she is still bring and happy and pooping.

Poor Oso. Unfortunately there are a lot of different reasons that could be causing him to act like this like parasites (worms), giardia, a bacterial infection, a foreign body, an intestinal obstruction and much more. I would have your vet take a look at him since he is so small. They will likely do a fecal to look for worm eggs - you usually will not be able to see the actual worms in their poop. They may also recommend blood work or x-rays if needed. They will be able to get him on the proper meds to help him feel better. Also, I would try not to get into the habit of hand feeding him as he may get use to this and require it as he gets older for attention. I hope this helps!

This could be a number of things - parasites, a bacterial or viral GI infection, or even an intestinal blockage. At 2.5 months of age, Gus is especially at risk for parvovirus, a serious GI infection. We always worry about fluid loss in young puppies, so I would recommend getting him to a vet ASAP, to diagnose the cause of the vomiting, and start appropriate therapy.
