Usually monthly treatment is needed if your cat has access to the outside. you can go to the vetco clinic for that, i do not recommend an additional collar on top of the treatment that you and your vet will choose.

Unfortunately, there are no veterinary clinics located in Petco stores in your area - yet. You can get vaccinations done at Vetco vaccination clinics, as well as heartworm and flea and tick prevention. Be sure you get Tars in before he is 6 months of age, and he won't need a heartworm test. He should also be dewormed against intestinal parasites. It was probably a flea. Even if he is indoor only fleas can still come into the house. There are only a couple flea collars that actually work. If you want to use a collar I would recommend the Seresto collar - the over the counter ones like the ones from Hartz do not work.
