The energy density of the food should be on the nutrition label on the Pedigree bag. It is usually reported as kcal/cup of food. Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! This isn't an easy question to answer, it depends on if Bruno is a healthy weight. Is he overweight or too thin? I always recommend using the dog food bag as a guideline. If the dog is too heavy then cut back and if too thin then increase. Charlie needs around 300-400 calories per day for his weight and age (considering he is a puppy) so I would adjust the cups per day keeping this in mind. As he continues to get older and his weight increases, I would recommend continuing to follow the instructions on the food package label. I personally prefer the Purina Pro Plan shredded blends for puppies as they are generally inexpensive, are of great quality and dogs seems to love it. For the amount to feed her, I advice you follow the guidelines that you will find in the back of the bag. Keep in mind that you should get the puppy blend. Also, keep in mind that as she grows, you will notice in the back of the bag that it will advice you feed her more. When she becomes a year old, she should be switched to an adult diet.
