My son is a 24 year old slacker. His dog absolutely loves him and waits for him to come home from work, not wanting to spend time w/me or my other son. Most times when my son gets home, he gives his dog 5 minutes and then goes right to video games and/or smoking pot. I would say I take 90% financial responsibility for Daisy.. I want to kick my son out BUT keep Daisy with me since I do not trust him to properly care for her. Part of my concern is Daisy's emotional well being-she adores him.

I'm not sure what your question is here. I'm assuming your asking about the legality of kicking your son out and keeping Daisy. In most states, dogs are considered property, so I would recommend consulting with a lawyer to see what the rules are in your state.
