Meropenem can be used in dogs but it is reserved for bacterial infections that have not responded to other antibiotics. Meropenem resistance is a growing problem in human medicine due to it's overuse and use in situations where it is not needed. It is expected to become an issue in veterinary medicine with time for the same reasons.

I don't know why you want to use this drug in your dog but I don't recommend you use it unless treatment with other antibiotics has failed.
