Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Hi When the dog mating his soft penis from the front and can not insert it in the female gets an erection outside even with help it is impossible to enter the penis before full erection. Even with full erection, the top of the penis remains soft and relaxed I am having this problem with a lot of dogs of different breeds and live in different environments can't find any thing same or common different diet and life style I can do artificial insemination but I prefer to do it normally what to do

I think the safest thing to do here is artificial insemination. You have a dog with a geneitc issue that won't be resolved by assiting him with insertion. Also, it isn't natural to interfere with the mating process in this manner either, so it is best to go forward with standard artificial insemination practices that are straightforward and safer for both pets involved.
Best of luck with your furry friend and I hope that you can successfully breed these two soon! Take care.
