Can I leave puppy harnesses on all day and take them off at night?

I would not leave your puppy in a harness when you are not with him. I always advise removing collars, harnesses and leashes when your dog is home. This is both more comfortable for your dog and a safer way to leave them unattended. There is a chance they could caught in something while running around or jumping at home.

I would not leave it on her all the time, especially if Mila gets annoyed with it. That's because it is more restrictive than a collar, and it can chafe in sensitive areas, such as under her arms. I would make sure she does have a collar on at all times with an ID tag.

If the collar has Rocky's tags and ID attached to or on the collar itself, you'll want to keep this on him whenever he is out of the house (at parks, walks, day care, or even the back yard ) in case Rocky gets out or escapes. It is up to you whether you'd like to keep a collar on Rocky while inside the home, but it may be a good idea in case of an emergency or in case he slips out on accident. I hope this helps!

Hello. The best thing to do is start slow & put the harness on for a few minutes 2-3 times a day. Reward her with many treats & lots of petting to calm her. Then attach a leash & just let her drag it around for a few days. Once she seems comfortable, ask her to follow or approach you while gently pulling on the leash. I always have a tasty treat in my hand to encourage her. With just a little time & patience, all dogs will get used to being on a leash & harness. I use a no pull harness when walking with a dog to keep them from pulling excessively. I would work with your dog to train him to walk by your side and not forge ahead. Once he knows that you can switch to a regular harness for your walks. Going to a group dog obedience class will help you train Korbyn to heel, sit, stay, down and come, and working with him in a group of other dogs and people makes the training more effective. As long as you are providing the puppy with a place to sleep, plenty of water and toys you should be ok to leave him for 3-5 hours with no problem. You can even look into the PetCube to interact with him remotely when you are not physically there. Dogs should not be left in a crate with a collar on, or left unsupervised anywhere where there is something that could get hooked on the collar, as this poses a potential strangulation risk. They should also not be left unsupervised while playing with other dogs with a collar on, as this could lead to strangulation if the other dog grabs the collar. You can remove the collar at night if your dog is in a secure area where he cannot accidentally get loose or escape, as you can't monitor Oscar at night while sleeping.
