I wouldn’t have concerns about giving the Vetri-Science supplement along with enalapril and pimobendan, but it would be a good idea to check in with your vet first, particularly to see if a potassium has been checked recently. I am not familiar with the other supplement but do recommend the Vetri-Science. There is some evidence that a restricted protein diet can help with proteinuria so this may be worth discussing with your vet as well.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Buddy. Cosequin and Duralactin are typically safe supplements. It is unusual though for a male dog to have recurrent urinary tract infections. He should have a sterile urine sample submitted for a urine culture after finishing his most recent round of antibiotics. This will ensure the infection has actually resolved. X-rays of his belly are useful to look for bladder stones as these can predispose a dog to infections. I hope this information helps!

What I typically recommend for renal failure in dogs are the following products: 1. Rehmannia 8 liquid or tablets 2. Epakitin (to help bind excessive phosphorus) 3. Renal support by Standard Process 4. Azodyl probiotic capsules (if you are not already giving these) 5. Prescription kidney diet such as Hills K/D 6. Renal K+ 7. Anti-nausea medications (Cerenia / Zofran) Some of these are more natural products and obviously the anti-nausea medications are prescription drugs but can help keep Boomer more comfortable. I also managed a kidney failure patient who also had lymphoma with all of the above including subcutaneous fluids and also treating him twice weekly in a hyperbaric chamber. His original prognosis was 3 months and that prognosis was given 15 months ago. If you have someone in your area that has a hyperbaric chamber, you can speak with them about treating Boomer with it. Although there is no way for us to test Chinese herbs with every drug combination, there should not be any concerns for using any of those Chinese herbs with Sildenafil since none of them tend to affect blood pressure.
