What are healthy homemade frozen dog treats I can give daily?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 3 years and 6 months old

What are some good and healthy home made frozen and non frozen treats I can give my dogs? Since it's starting to get warm would it be ok for them to eat cold treats? Something that not too high in sugars? And would it be okay to give my dog one treat every day ? Thank you!

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Hazel. Cold treats can be refreshing for a dog over the summer. One per day should be fine as long as she is not overweight. An easy recipe is as follows:

3 ripe bananas
32oz of plain yogurt
1 cup peanut butter

Blend all three ingredients together and pour into an ice cube tray or however you want to freeze them. Freeze them in larger pieces for larger dogs. Always supervise her with a new treat and monitor for any vomiting or diarrhea signifying the new treat does not agree with her. I hope this information helps!
