First dog in apartment: GSD or Dachshund? Cheaper, easier to train?

I am having trouble deciding which breed to get a gsd or dachshund it’s going to be my first dog and I live in an apartment and which one is going to be cheaper to own and which is easier to train.which one do you recommend?

An apartment is no place for a large breed herding dog like a German Shepherd. That is a very bad idea as these dogs need TONS of exercise, attention and training. They are not a good choice for a first dog as they can have a lot of behavioral issues if someone is not experienced with the breed. I would say a dachshund is your better choice.
