My female puppy is licking and bleeding. Is this normal or serious?

I see what you mean in the picture provided, it looks like there is some blood there on the wee wee pad. I also see that Annie isn't spayed, so this could mean that she is going into heat for the first time. She is a small breed dog at seven months of age, and that age is when that can happen for the first time in small breed dogs. The other possibility is that she has a UTI, but I can't say for certain without seeing her in person. I would have her seen by a vet to determine if she is in heat or if she has UTI. Until she sees the vet, do not take her in public and do not let her be alone with any intact males. It is never recommended to mate a female dog during her first heat. I hope this helps.

Bleeding from the vulva is normal in intact female dogs during their heat cycle. But if Riley isn't currently in heat, or if the amount of blood you're seeing is more than normal for her, then I would be concerned that something else may be going on. Bleeding from this area can be caused by bladder stones, infections, a bleeding disorder of some kind, or even a vaginal tumor. It would be best to have Riley examined by a vet as soon as possible to determine what is causing the bleeding and get her started on appropriate treatment.

Hi, this is a behaviour that is normal in certain contexts. You need to keep an eye on everything else, if they are eating well, and drinking well and there are no abnormalities in the urine that you can see, I would not worry about it. Hope this helps !

Hi, if the liquid is coming out from her genital area, it could either be an infection (very common in older female dogs that have not been neutered) or if your dog is young could be juvenile vaginitis. She is grooming the area in order to keep it clean, I would not worry about this. I would recommend to have your dog checked over as is she has an infection she will need treatment ASAP. Has she been in heat recently? At her age with not being spayed I would worry about thisbdisxharge being from the uterus and her having an uterine infection. This can be an emergency that typically requires surgery. Often times they are weak, drinking more water, vomiting and not eating. Other options include a bladder infection which will need antibiotics. Your vet can distguish between the two and see what is needed

She may be in heat still (up to three weeks after stopping bleeding) or indeed she may have a uterine infection. Nestle will need to be seen by a veterinarian for a hands-on exam. If the vet suspects an infection he will want to verify this with an ultrasound exam or an x-ray. The blood coukd be from a UTI or even bladder stones. It should not be related to the tablet she ate but since I don’t know all its ingredients it is difficult for me to say for sure. I suggest you get her back to the vet for a follow-up and a urine test.
