I recommend to get this checked out. It's possible the cancer has spread internally to her nerves. Something unrelated to cancer like a pinched nerve or compressed disc cold also be to blame. Since she can't talk and tell you what's wrong, it's best to play it safe.

Poor Lily! If she yelps when she is touched in these areas, this is likely a sign that something is painful - even if she doesn't react when you examine her afterwards. She may have a pinched nerve, a herniated or "slipped" disc, or arthritis pain that could be causing her to do this. Hello. Tis could be anything from simple muscle overuse, to a tendon sprain to an actual ligament tear. Ligament tears are unfortunately quite common, especially the anterior cruciate ligament ( ACL ). This may also be the first indication that Nalah has hip dysplasia. So, if she still seems very uncomfortable tomorrow, you might want to schedule a visit with your veterinarian who will be able to localize the pain, possibly with x-rays, but certainly recommend medications or supplements to make her much more comfortable. It sounds like your girl is in pain, and given that she is getting up and moving around to a different after waking up yelping, I would be concerned that she is having pain in her spine and/or neck. This would also affect her walking and cause her to be lethargic. Because this has been happening for a couple of days now, I would have her seen by a vet first thing in the morning. The vet can do a lameness exam and x-rays to diagnose if there is a problem with her neck and/or spine, and can treat her for it. In the meantime, please do not give her any pain medications, many human ones are toxic for humans and can fatal if given.
