My puppy has white spots on nails. Is it a calcium deficiency?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 2 months and 14 days old | 5 lbs

My 10 week old mix breed puppy has developed white spots on her nails of her front paws but not back paws. Could this be a lack of calcium or another vitamin/mineral

Considering your suspicion I suspect those spots are completely normal and are part of the normal growing process of the nails.
I would not be worried, you will notice that nails consistency and colour probably will change with time during the first year of age.
