My dog has white spots in his mouth. Are they cancerous or normal?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

My dog has some white spots in his mouth. I was wondering if it’s something cancerous or bad. He’s still acting fine and eating like usual.

Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Great question!

I know that these spots can look white but they are actually pink and they are normal pigment and are very common. There is nothing to worry about with these.

Hope this helps. Best wishes.
