My dog has white and pink lumps on her nose and lips. What is it?

It could be a tooth root abscess or a tumor in her maxilla (upper jaw bone) or in her nasal cavity. I recommend taking her to the Vet for an exam. From the picture it actually looks more like a deep skin infection to me. This could be bacterial or fungal, or even a hypersensitivity reaction (less likely). I would recommend that she be examined by your veterinarian soon. They may look at a sample under the microscope to help determine what therapies might be most helpful. It looks like you are concerned about several problems with Roxie, and they are probably not all related to each other. The nose could just be dry, or it could be an autoimmune disease called lupus, or it could be cancerous. I would recommend that you have your vet check this out to see what will be the best treatment. If it gets worse it could crack and bleed and be very painful. I am not sure what is coming from her whisker area, it could be a skin tag. There are several masses that can occur on the edges of the eyelid. Often they are benign, but they can get bigger and start to rub on the cornea and cause ulceration and chronic irritation. Many times a vet can remove these easily with either surgery or cryotherapy. Dry or thickened skin on the elbows is common in short-haired dogs as they age. There is nothing that needs to be done. Make sure that Roxie has a soft place to lay down, which will help prevent excess pressure over her bony areas.

Most dogs get it from doggie day care or other close interactions with other dogs. Usually they spontaneously regress. Sometimes I'll crush them in the office and put the dog on a 10 day course of Azithrimycin.

There is no way of knowing for sure without an examination though this represents a reason to seek veterinary care. This is usually determined with an examination and a fine needle aspirate (FNA) or a biopsy. Treatment depends on the findings up to that point. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! A lot of skin bumps and lumps can look the same. She could have hit her nose on something and the bump is related to trauma and will go away, it could be a benign growth (like a histiocytoma), it could be part of a skin infection or immune reaction, hives or a cancerous growth. If the bump doesn't resolve in a few days I recommend having your Vet look at it. The sores around her mouth can also be due to infection or an immune condition and may or may not be related to the new bump on her nose. I hope this helps and I wish Luna a speedy recovery!

That are certainly weird looking! Depending on when those lesions started and if they seem to be itchy, my presumptive diagnosis might differ considerably. It is possible that Cami might have been sticking in muzzle in an area that she shouldn't have been, resulting in some sort of irritation, and the lesions you currently see. They do definitely appear to be red, inflamed, and possibly infected based on the picture. Another possibility is that there is an immune-mediated condition that could be the cause of this. There is a disease known as Pemphigus that is known to cause skin lesions near the nose. I would definitely take Cami into the vet to have these areas assessed, and have some preliminary diagnostics run on the affected portions of the skin. Hope this helps!
