Why does my dog come to me and want to get in my lap when my foster dog (of 2 weeks) barks at something in the yard?

It’s possible that the foster dog’s barking is causing your own pet some stress or anxiety. Make sure to give both dogs a lot of vigorous exercise every day as this helps to decrease stress and anxiety.
