My dog is vomiting, not eating, and breathing shallow after spay. Emergency?

If her breathing is shallow then she needs to be examined by a vet immediately. Call your vet or take her to an emergency clinic so she can be examined and determine if she is having a reaction to the vaccine. If she is just painful then your vet can give her an anti-inflammatory to help with the discomfort.

I do not see redness, swelling or discharge draining out. However, pictures can be deceiving. I am more worried that she is not eating. The diarrhea needs to be addressed as well. The veterinarian will examine her and take her temperature. A fever, for example, can indicate an infection. If you stopped her medications, which is reasonable given the diarrhea, she may be very painful now though. This too can affect appetite. The veterinarian will guide you on any testing or treatment options. In the meantime, keep her quiet, encourage her to drink so she doesn't become dehydrated and do not give any over-the-counter pain medications as these can be toxic to dogs. Breathing at an erratic rate while asleep may simply be an indication of active dreaming. As long as her breathing does not appear labored and as long as she is not having any other indications of illness, I would not worry too much about her health. Continue to monitor for any significant changes to her health, monitor her surgical site for any signs of infection or discharge (serous / clear discharge in small amounts is normal), and keep a close eye on her energy level. If all of these seem to check out, I don't think you have anything to be concerned about at this time.

Dakota is likely in pain after the surgery. Your veterinarian should have given you some pain medicine for her to give according to his instructions. You should put her in a quiet place with some water and bland food. If you did not get pain medicine you will need to see your vet in order to get some.

It can be normal to vomit once or twice in the 24 hours following anesthesia but I wouldn't expect Sadie to be experiencing side effects from anesthesia at this point. I would recommend having your veterinarian examine her if the vomiting and decreased appetite continue: it may or may not be related to her recent surgery. If she is on a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory pain medication like carprofen or meloxicam it would be best to discontinue the medication since these can sometimes cause stomach upset - your vet can prescribe a different pain medication if necessary.
