Why is my 8-year-old boxer dog vomiting food and bile suddenly?

It sounds as Kehlani is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.

Vomiting can be observed with gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, food sensitivity, foreign body ingestion and obstruction or other conditions such as pancreatitis or kidney disease. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. Likely diagnostics to be performed include abdominal imaging and general bloodwork. Dogs can vomit due to many conditions from stress, to ingestion of a foreign body or toxin, eating too quickly, intestinal parasites, or viral infections. If Onyx is acting normally, you can continue to monitor her at home. I recommend holding off food and treats until tomorrow morning, and then giving her only about 1/2 of her normal portion. She should have access to small amounts of water to prevent her from drinking too quickly and causing herself to vomit. She should be seen by a vet as soon as possible if you notice that she doesn't have an appetite or energy, or begins having diarrhea. I hope this helps and that Onyx feels better soon!

Smacking her lips could be a sign of a dental problem or nausea. Diarrhea and throwing up can be caused by a food sensitivity, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, an intestinal blockage, bacterial infection, viral infection, the weather, food change, stress, etc.  I would fast Kiwi for 24 hours and then put her on bland food for two days, such as boiled white rice and boiled white boneless chicken meat, fed in small quantities over several feeds and then transition back to regular food slowly over a few days. If this does not clear up the diarrhea or if the vomiting increases, or if your dog gets lethargic, she needs to see a veterinarian for an exam as there may be something more serious such as an infection going on.

Poor Johnny! I would have him seen by a vet as soon as possible. In an 11 year old Boxer, his anorexia and vomiting could be caused by something serious such as a systemic infection, kidney failure, cardiac disease, liver disease, or even cancer. I recommend having a physical exam, geriatric blood panel, urinalysis, and x-rays done on Johnny to diagnose what is causing his symptoms. Once a cause is found, the vet can discuss any possible treatment options.

Excessive salivary production and licking of the lips sounds like some pretty significant nausea too me. Daisy would likely benefit from some anti-nausea medication. The best drugs for this include Cerenia and metoclopramide, both of which will require a prescription from your vet. Over the counter options which do not tend to work as effectively include things like pepsid and prilosec. I would encourage you to take Daisy in to be examined to see if there is an underlying problem that can be determined. Common causes of nausea in dogs include gastroenteritis, pancreatitis, vertigo / neurologic diseases, inner ear infections, GI foreign bodies, and several different infectious diseases. If you visit the vet, they may want to obtain some images / lab work to rule certain things in and out. Hope this helps!
