Vomiting can be a sign of a number of different problems ranging from minor issues like eating a non-food item from the yard to more serious diseases. Sometimes after vomiting dogs can feel nauseous or weak, so I wouldn't be too concerned about Poochie not responding to his name unless he also seems disoriented or extremely lethargic. If the vomiting continues or he continues to act very abnormal you should see an emergency veterinarian. While it is probably okay to drink a little water I wouldn't encourage him to drink too much as this can sometimes trigger more vomiting.

Chronic vomiting, has multiple causes but may cause an electrolyte imbalance which could account for the symptoms you are seeing. However, it may not help as much as something like fluids under the skin or intravenous fluids that she can get at the vet office, because she may just throw up the pedialyte. Dogs that are vomiting and/or have diarrhea can be at risk for becoming dehydrated, sometimes even if they're drinking. There is always a certain amount of fluid loss in the vomit and/or diarrhea that cannot be replaced with simply drinking water. There can be many reasons a 7 month old dog is vomiting too, so I will briefly discuss those, and then ask that you keep an eye on Sadie.
