It will not be dangerous for them, in fact I recommend making sure they are up to date on all vaccinations. Even if that means getting them again. It will only protect them! I will say any dog can have a reaction, so just monitor for signs of swelling of any part of the body, difficulty breathing or excessive vomiting. These reactions are rare but can happen. You are correct, the first rabies vaccine is only good for one year. After that, depending on where you live, the next rabies vaccine could be good for three years. Some cities/states still require the rabies vaccine to be given every year though so you need to check what the law is in your area. Your vet will know. All, that being said, with her rabies vaccine being overdue - you need to update it as soon as possible and it may only be marked good for one year because you are overdue. Vaccines require refrigeration before and after reconstitution. The standard dose is 1ml given in the muscle to dogs older than 12 weeks of age. You will need to keep records to confirm vaccination and to prevent vaccinating the same dog more than once. An exam prior to vaccination is strongly recommended to avoid vaccinating a sick dog. In the US, a rabies vaccine can be given only by a licensed veterinarian. Please check local regulations to make sure you will not be breaking any laws.

That partially depends on the state laws and where you live. Generally most vets will give the vaccine if the expiration date is within 6 weeks. If live in a state that allows 3 year rabies vaccines and you pet has already had one and is due for another 3 year vaccine, the vet may give that 6 months before the actual due date if it is more convenient for the owner. It is OK for him to receive both vaccinations at the same time as long as he has had no previous vaccine reactions. That being said, it is up to you. If you want to split them up there is no harm in doing it that way.

You can do either. Many pets are given all those vaccines at once and they do fine but you are correct that this does increase the likelihood of a vaccine reaction. If you want to be cautious, then separating the vaccines by a week is a good idea. It's never hurts to be cautious. I hope this helps.

Is Jimmy almost 4-5 months old or is she 6 weeks old? It is unclear based on your question versus the pet's info line. The rabies vaccine should not be given before 12 weeks of age. In a dog older than 12 weeks of age, the rabies vaccine takes about 2 weeks to confer protection. After this time period, there should be reasonable protection. No vaccine is 100% effective at preventing disease though.
