Dog turning 1: When to change food, what's best & how many apples?

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | neutered | 11 months and 5 days old | 72 lbs

My dog ​​is about to turn 1 year old, when should I change food and what is the recommended one for him? Another question to my dog ​​likes to eat the apple, what amount is recommended? Thank you.

AT a year of age you can transition from puppy to adult food. I would stick with the same brand you use now to minimize any GI side effects. If you are looking for something new then I recommend Science diet or purina. Apples are safe just do not let him eat the core and seeds. This should be given as a treat not a source of nutrition though. You can give a few slices a day.
