Is my dog's TPLO incision healing okay, or should I see a vet sooner?

Since the incision is not open, as long as your pet is feeling okay (no fever, lethargy, etc).. it is okay to wait until the morning. At that time, contact the surgeon and schedule a recheck as they will definitely want to see the incision. It does look like there is some infection starting and that will need to be treated with antibiotics. If you have an Elizabethan collar or "cone" to put on her until you get to the vet, that would be a great idea. The area is probably tender and itchy and she may want to lick it, which may cause more damage.

From your pictures you have provided, I would strongly suggest taking Buddy in to have the neuter incision rechecked. It looks infected and looks as though the wound will open up further. Thank you for providing pictures of Blaze's incisions, it helps with my answer to you. From the picture, I do not see any redness or swelling, which is great! I also see the area where the scab came off. At this point in time, as long as there is no sign of infection and he is eating and drinking normally, it's fine to wait until Tuesday to have him seen by the vet. Make sure he doesn't lick at the area, putting an Ecollar on him in case he tries to do that. I would rush him into the vet if the area does become red or swollen, the incision area starts bleeding, or it appears that the incision has opened up. Good luck, I hope this helps!

The incision itself looks ok but I'm wondering if there is some swelling at the end of the incision. I received the picture that you forwarded to customer service. I presume the area that you are concerned about is the area outlined in red. When we close the skin with surgical glue, there can be a small amount of tissue that looks like it does in the picture. I don't see anything that is particularly concerning in that picture. Make sure to keep Mia rested and use an e-collar so she cannot lick at the incision. The area that you outlined should not look any larger and should not ooze any discharge. Hello. Thanks for the picture. Things look pretty good. It is a little irritated at the top, but the majority of the incision looks perfect. I would just clean away any discharge with a little warm water & not fuss too much with things. Once the staples are out, everything will calm down & heal well. It appears that this part of the incision did pop open. I would recommend that you have it checked by an emergency vet. It may be able to heal without getting new stitches, but I cannot make that call just by looking at a picture - it should be done by someone that can evaluate the whole body. Make sure that he is not licking - not even once - since that will spread bacteria, decrease healing, and loosen up other stitches.
